Now , We know

average = sum / total no.

Now , For 8 men

avg = sum / total men

48 = sum / 8

sum = 48 * 8

sum = 384

Now, For 7 women

avg = sum / total women

men46 = sum / 7

sum = 46 * 7

sum = 322

Now using the average of all

let age of boy be x

avg = sum / no. of people

45 = (384 + 322 + x)/(8 + 7 + 1)

45 = ( 706 + x )/ 16

706 + x = 45 * 16

706 + x = 720

x = 720 - 706

x = 14

So the age of boy is 14 years
