Total = number of persons * average

18*10=180

Includes teacher

22*11= 242

Age of teacher = 242 - 180 = 62

Solution :-

The average age of 10 students is = 18 years.

∴ Total age of 10 students

=(18×10 ) years

= 180 years.

According to the question if sir's age is added to this , the average age becomes = 22 years.

Now, let the age of sir is = X years .

✏ Total age now = ( 180 + X ) years.

Hence , the average age of (10+1)= 11 people is 22 years

So now arranging this in the form of algebraic equation , we get :

\implies\sf{\ \ {\dfrac{180+X}{11}=22}}

\implies\sf{\ \ {180+X=22\times11}}

\implies\sf{\ \ {X=242-180}}

\implies\large{\boxed{\sf{\ \ {X=62}}}}

∴ Age of Sir is = 62 Yrs.
