New average increases by 3 months ( 0.25 years )i.e. Total age of 39 plus 1 = 40 members will be= ( 15 + o.25) * 40 =(15.25) * 40 =610....(1)

From given data, total age of 39 students = 15 * 39 = 585 years

With 1 teacher added, total age becomes (585 + x) ....(2)

Equating equations (1) and (2), we get

(585+x) =610

x = 610-585 = 25 years
