The average age of a family with 5 member is 28. If one of the members of age 20 is excluded the average age of the family becomes?​

Hey there !

• Avg = total age / total members

• 28 = total age / 5

• total age = 28*5 = 140 yes

Now, the age of 20 is excluded :

Hence , 140-20 / 5

So , now the average of their ages becomes 24 years
