                                                   =x+20

average age of mother and son=x+x+30/2

                                                    =2x+30/2

x+20=125/100 × x+15

x+20=125x +1875/100

100x+2000=125x +1875

2000-1875=125x-100x

125=25x

x=125/25

x=5

father's age was taken as x+40

so father's age=5+40=45
