Answer:

c = 42

Step-by-step explanation:

The average age of three brother a ,b ,c is 45 years. If exactly two of them a and b are between 42 and 50 years and the age of all three brothers are integers what could be the maximum possible age of the third brother c ?

Average Age of three brothers = 45 years

Total Age = 3 * 45 = 135 Years

a  & b are between 42 & 50

Max possible age of C would be when a & b has least possible age

Let say a & b both are 43 years

then c  = 135 - (43 + 43)  = 49

but c can not be between 42 & 50so maximum possible age of c = 42

then a +b = 135 - 42 = 93 years

a & b would be 46 & 47
