The average (arithmatic mean) of six number is 6 . if 3 is subtracted from each of four of the number , what is the new averages?

Total of 6 Nos=6x6 = 36

,3 is subtracted from 6 (4nos only) Total =(6-3) 4+6x2=24

New Av=24/6=4. . Ans
