Given:-

  • The average distance that Ben and Tina drove was 153 km.
  • Ben drove 24 km more than Tina.

To find:-

  • Distance that Tina drove.

Solution:-

According to the question

→ x + (x + 24) = 153

→ 2x + 24 = 153

→ 2x = 153 - 24

→ 2x = 129

→ x = 129/2

x = 64.5 km

Hence,

  • Tina drove = 64.5 km
  • Ben drove = 88.5 km
