Answer:

161 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The average height of 20 students in a class was  calculated as 160 cm.

Mean =\frac{\text{Sum of all heights}}{\text{Number of students }}

160=\frac{\text{Sum of all heights}}{20}

160 \times 20 =\text{Sum of all heights}

3200 =\text{Sum of all heights}

Now  On verification it was found that  one reading was wrongly recorded as 132 cm instead  of 152 cm.

So, New sum = 3200-132+152 =3220

\text{New Mean} =\frac{\text{New sum}}{\text{Number of students }}

\text{New Mean} =\frac{3220}{20}

\text{New Mean} =161

Hence the correct mean height is 161.
