Average = Sum of all observations ÷ Number of observations.
So,
1.45 = Sum ÷ 5
So, Sum of all heights = 1.45 × 5 = 7.25

If one of them is removed, then,
Average = 1.44
So, 1.44 = Sum ÷ 4
Sum of heights of 4 students = 1.44 ×4 = 5.76.

Clearly,
Height of student who left = Sum of all heights - Sum of heights of 4 students.
= 7.25 - 5.76
=1.49

Hope it helps !! ;-)

Answer:

Average = Sum of observations ÷ number of observations

So, x/5 = 1.45

= x = 7.25 meter

So, Height of 5 students is 7.25 meter

If one of them removed then ,

Average= 1.44

So, y/4 = 1.44

= y = 5.76 meter

So , Height of 4 students is 5.76 meter

Therefore, the height of student who left from group

Height of the 5 students - Height of the 4 students

= (7.25 - 5.76) meter

= 1.49 meter

So, the height of the children who left is 1.49 meter.

Hope , my answer is correct.....
