The average height of the 40 students is 150cm. I it was later detected that one observation 165cm was wrongly copied as 125cm for the computation of mean. I find the correct mean height.

Total sum of height of students=40×150
=6000cm
Later : 6000+165-125=6040
Mean= 6040/40=151
