Solution

Let the three tables as a , b and c

According to the question

a+b+c/3 = 25 m. ( i )

Length of a = 12 m

Length of b = 16 m

Length of c = ?

Putting the values in the eq ( i )

12+16 + c/ 3 = 25

28 +c /3. = 25

28 +c = 75

c. = 75 -28

c. = 47 m

Verification

= 16 +12+47/3

= 75/3

= 25 m

hope it helps

Answer:

Given that:

Average length of 3 tables is 25m

length of two tables are 12m and 16 m

To find:

Length of the 3rd tables

Answer:

Let the length of the 3rd table be X

Average=sum of all observation / number of all observation

we have

\large{25m=X+12m+16m/3}

\large{25m=X+28/3}

\large{75=X+28}

\large{75-28=X}

\large{47=X}

Length of the 3rd table is

47metre
