The average monthly wage of all workers in a factory is Rs444 if the only wage workers paid to male and female workers is Rs480 and Rs360 respectively find the percentage of male and female workers employed by the factory

female = 100-x %

480(x/100) + 360[(100-x)/100] = 444
⇒ 4.8x + 360 - 3.6x = 444
⇒ 1.2x = 444- 360 = 84
⇒ x = 84/1.2
⇒ x = 70%

male = 70%
female = 100-70 = 30%
