Given : The average of 11 numbers is 10.9 and average of the first six numbers is 10.5

To find : Average of last 5 numbers

Solution:

The average of 11 numbers is 10.9

=> Sum of 11 numbers = 11 * 10.9

=> Sum of 11 numbers = 119.9

average of the first six numbers is 10.5

=> Sum of 6 numbers = 6 * 10.5

=> Sum of 6 numbers  = 63

Remaining numbers = 11 - 6 = 5

Sum of remaining 5 numbers = 119.9 - 63

= 56.9

Average of 5 numbers = 56.9/5

=> Average of 5 numbers = 11.38

Average of last 5 numbers = 11.38
