Given that,

The average of 15 numbers is 25.

To find,

What will be the new average, if 5 is added to each given numbers.

Solution,

Average of two numbers = sum of numbers/total no. of data

25 = sum of numbers/15

sum of numbers = 375

If 5 is added to each given numbers, it means that 5 is added to all the numbers i.e. 15×5 = 75 is added to the numbers. The new average is then given by :

A=\dfrac{375+75}{15}\\\\A=30

So, the new average is 30.
