The average of 2, 7, 6 and X is 5 and the average of 18, 16 X and Y is 10. what is the value of Y? ​

2+7+6+X/4= 5

14+ X= 20

X= 6

Now

18+16+6+Y/4 = 10

40 + Y = 40

Y = 0

Answer:

Average = sum of observation / total number of observation ,

so,

5 = (2+7+6+x)/4

15+x = 5*4

x = 20-15 = 5

putting this value now,

10 = (18+16+5+y)/4

38+y = 40

y = 2 (Ans)
