the average of 20 nos is 12 and the average of another 30 nos is 7. What will be the average of all the nos ?

Explanation:

Sum of 20 numbers =20×12=240

Sum of first 12 numbers =11×12=132

Sum of next 7 numbers =10×7=70

∴ Last number =240−(132+70)=240−202=38
