Answer:

Let the 29 consecutive integers be denoted as:

( x - 28 ), ( x - 26 ), ( x - 24 ) ...... ( x - 2 ), ( x ) , ( x +2 ) .......( x + 24 ), ( x + 26 ) ( x + 28 )

So we have taken it like this this because on adding all the terms which have values get cancelled and only the x terms remain.

So Sum of all terms = 29x

Average = Sum of all terms / Total number of terms

=> 60 = 29x / 29

=> x = 60.

Highest number in this series is ( x + 28 ), which is ( 60 + 28 ) = 88

Hence 88 is the highest number in this series.
