Difference of the number is 7

So, Let the numbers be x ; x + 7 ; x + 14 ; x + 21 ; x + 28 ; x + 35 and x + 42

Given that, average of the number is 47 -

➩ $\sf \frac{x + x + 7 + x + 14 + x + 21 + x + 28 + x + 35 + x + 42}{7} = 42$

➩ $\sf 7x + 7 + 14 + 21 + 28 + 35 + 42 = 42 \times 7$

➩ $\sf 7x + 147 = 294$

➩ $\sf 7x = 294 - 147$

➩ $\sf 7x = 147$

➩ $\sf x = \frac{147}{7}$

➩ $\sf x = 21$

• Smallest number = 21
• Larget number = 21 + 42 = 63

Difference = 63 - 21 = 42

Hence, Difference between greatest and smallest number = 42
