Let the age of man be 31x
Age of his son be 13x

Average = (31x+13x)/2

33= (31x+13x) /2

66=44x

6=4 x

3/2 = x

1.5 = x

Present age of son =31×1.5 = 46.5

Age of father = 17×1.5 =25.5
