As We know that average of five numbers is 27.

→ x = (x₁+x₂..xₙ)/n

→ 27 = (x₁+x₂..x₅)/5

→ 135 = (x₁+x₂..x₅) [1]

Again, If one number is excluded from the set, the average becomes 25.

Let the excluded number be x.

→ 25 = [(x₁+x₂..x₅) –x]/4

→ 100 = [(x₁+x₂..x₅) –x]

→ 100 = [135 - x]

→ x = 135 – 100

→ x = 35

Hence,

The Excluded number of the set will be 35.
