Given :A, B, C, D consecutive odd numbers

Suppose first number is x

Therefore,

Remaining numbers will be x+2 , x+4 , x+6

also ,Average= 42 ———-(1)

As per the assumption average of four consecutive numbers will be:

(x + x+2 + x+4 +x+6 )/4 ——-(2)

= (4x+ 12)/4

Now, as LHS of (1) and (2) same,

Equating :

(4x+ 12)/4 =42

x+3 = 42

x = 39

Therefore,

Values of A, B, C, D will be

39, 41, 43, 45

So, Product of B and D:

41 * 45= 1845
