Let first three numbers are n, (n+2) and (n+4). then 4th number is. (n+4+6)=
(n+10) , acordingly:-
n+(n+2)+(n+4)+(n+10)=4×74
or. 4n+16=4×74
or. 4×(n+4) =4×74
or. n+4=74=> n=70
1st No=n=70
2nd No= n+2=70+2=72
3rd No = n+4=70+4=74
4th No= n+10=70=10=80
Thus , the numbers are 70 , 72 , 74 and 80 . Answer.
Another possible -answer:-
Let 1st number is x the 2nd and 3rd are. (x-2) and (x-4) respectively.
4th number is (x-4-6) or (x-10). Acordingly:-
[ (x) +(x-2)+(x-4)+(x-10)] =4×74
or 4x - 16 = 4×74
or. 4×(x-4)= 4×74
or. x-4=74 => x= 78.
1st No = x. = 78
2nd No=x-2=78–2=76
3rd No=x-4=78–4=74
4th No=x-10=78–10= 68
Numbers are 78 , 76 , 74 and 68. Answer.
