Acc to the ques, the average of three numbers is 20.

Let the 3 no.s be x, y and z.

(x + y + z) / 3 = 20.

or, (x + y + z) = 60.

Now if each of these numbers is doubled, then Average will be:

(2x + 2y + 2z) / 3 = 2(x + y + z) / 3.

Average will be (2 x 60) / 3 = 40. [Ans]
