The average of x, y, z is 24, x:y = 2:3, x+y = 60, then find x-y=?

Let x & y be (2z) and (3z) respectively

now, 2z + 3z = 60
5z = 60
z = 12

Hence, x = 2z = 2×12 = 24
y = 3z = 3×12 = 36

Now, x - y
24 - 36
( -12 )

Hence, the answer is ( -12 )
