According to the question :

Total rainfall in 3 months :

☞ 12 × 3

☞ 36 cm.

Total of first two months rainfall :

☞ 13 + 15

☞ 28 cm.

Third month's rainfall :

☞ 36 - 28

☞ 8 cm.

Verification :

13 + 15 + 8 = Total rainfall of 3 months

☞ 13 + 15 + 18 = 36

☞ 28 + 8 = 36

☞ 36 = 36.

so, the third month's

rainfall is 8 cm.
