Explanation:

Let the no. of unskilled workers = x

So average salary of unskilled workers is (Total salary of all unskilled workers)/(Total unskilled workers) = 10000

=> Total salary of all unskilled workers = 10000x

Similarly Total salary of all skilled workers = 15000y

Now the final average = (Total salary of all unskilled workers + Total salary of all skilled workers)/Total workers = 12000

=> (10000x + 15000y)/(x + y) = 12000

=> 10000x + 15000y = 12000x + 12000y

=> 3000y = 2000x

=> y/x = 2/3

Now percentage of skilled employee = y/(x+y) * 100

=> 2/(2+3) * 100

= 40%
