Answer:a

Step-by-step explanation:

Average of 48 innings is given by

Avg=(total runs of 48 innings/no. Of innings)

So 48=T/48 so

T=48×48

Now in the 49th inning he scored 97, so these runs will get added in the total runs and in the 50th inning his avg is increased by 2 than before that means avg becomes 48+2=50.

So, let X be the runs scored in 50th inning,

50=((48×48)+97+X)/50

X comes about 99

X=99 that means he has to score 99 runs in 50th inning to incrwase his avg by 2

Answer:

option b

Step-by-step explanation:

The average score after 48th innings =48 and the average score after 49th innings =49 Since,    Now, requirement of runs =49+(50×2)=149 ⇒ (50×51)−(49×49)=149
