15 hours = 270 km

Find the distance covered in 1 hour:

15 hours = 270 km

1 hour = 270 ÷ 15 = 18 km

Find the distance covered in 12 hours:

1 hour = 18 km

12 hours = 18 x 12 = 216 km

Answer: The train will co ver 216 km in 12 hours

Given:

Train,

Speed = 4 ( 1 / 3 ) Speed (Tractor)

Tractor,

Distance = 260 km

Time = 15 hr

To find:

The distance train will cover in 12 hours.

Solution:

Speed of the tractor,

Speed = Distance / time

270 / 15

Speed of the tractor = 18 km

Speed of the train = 4 * 1 / 3 * 18

Speed of the train = 24 km / hr

Hence,

In 12 hours,

Distance = Speed * Time

24 x 12 = 288 km

Hence, The train will cover 288 km in 12 hours.
