Total weight of 29 students

=29×48= 1392 kg

Total weight of student and teacher =30×48.5= 1455 kg

Weight of teacher = 1455-1392

= 63 kg answer

Answer:

Weight of teacher is 63 kg.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

Average weight of 29 students= 48 kg.

As we know that ,

Average weight  =total weight /no. of students

Total weight= average weight × no. of students

                    = 48 × 29=1,392 kg.

Let weight of teacher be x kg.

Weight of students including teacher = 1,392 +x  kg.

According to the problem,

New average weight = 48kg. 500 gm.= 48 .5 kg (∵1000 gm. = 1kg.)

New average weight = weight of students including teacher/ total no. of students including teacher

                        48.5 = (1392+x) /(29 +1)

                        48.5 = (1392+x) / 30

                       48.5 × 30 =1392 +x

                          1455-1392 =x

                                    63 = x
