Answer:

You may solve this question with that old regular method and it will take so many calculations and time as well.

Here's something new and innovative.

Average is calculated center value of a set of data

What if all those 10 new students had average weight of 48.5 kg only, then that Data must be same like old.

But when new students came they increased average weight of all the 32 students & 10 themselves.

According to the Question :

⇢ Average of 10 new students = Regular Average weight + (Increased by them × Total)/New Students

  • we are doing so, as these increased weight is caused by them & should disturbed among them only equally.

⇢ Average = 48.5 + [2.75 × (32 + 10)]/10

⇢ Average = 48.5 + [2.75 × 42]/10

⇢ Average = 48.5 + 115.5/10

⇢ Average = 48.5 + 11.55

Average of 10 new students = 60.05 kg

Average of 10 new students is 60.05 kg.
