Average weight of 40 students = 50 kgs.

Total weight of 40 students = 50×4050×40 = 2000 kgs. ...(1)

If the weight of the teacher is included the average weight of

40 students + weight of the teacher= 50.5 kgs.

Total weight of 40 students + teacher

= 41×50.541×50.5 = 2070.5 kgs. ...(2)

(2) - (1) gives the weight of the teacher

Weight of the teacher = 2070.5 - 2000 = 70.5 kgs.

Given:

The average weight of 40 passengers in a bus = 50 kg

The average weight of the passengers along with the  driver and conductor is 51 kg

The weight of the driver = 80 kg,

To find :

The weight of the conductor.

Solution:

The average weight of 40 passengers in a bus = 50 kg

Total weight of passengers is 40 × 50 = 2000 kg

The average weight of the passengers along with the  driver and conductor is 51 kg.

Total weight f the passengers along with the  driver and conductor is,

51 × ( 40 + 2 ) = 2142 kg

Therefore,

The weight of drive and the conductor is,  2142 - 2000 = 142 kg

If the weight of the driver is 80kg.

Then, the weight of conductor is, 142 - 80 = 62 kg

Final answer:

The weight of the conductor is 62 kg
