The average weight of 40 snacks kept in a godown is 32kg. If two new sacks of equal weight are kept in the godown, the average weight of all snacks increase by 0.5kg. find the weight in kilograms of each snack which were kept later.

sum of snack = 32 kg × 40
= 1280 kg
all have increased 0.5 kg
and there are 40 snacks
so 40 × 0.5 kg = 20 kg
since 20 kg increased
sum of all snacks = 1280 + 20
= 1300 kg
for each 1300 / 40
