Answer:

Weight of the teacher is 58 kg.

Explanation:

Given,

Average weight of the class : 36 kg

Number of students in a class : 21

We know,

Average = ( sum of quantities ) / ( number of quantities )

Here,

= > Average = ( sum of weights of 21 students ) / 21

= > 36 kg = ( sum of weights of 21 students ) / 21

= > 36 x 21 kg = sum of weight of 21 students

= > 756 kg = sum of weight of 21 students

When weight of teacher is also included : Average weight is increased by 1 kg, so that is 36 kg + 1 kg now. And the number of quantities is 21 + 1 now.

Thus,

= > New average = ( sum of weight of 21 students + weight of teacher ) / ( 21 + 1 )

= > 37 kg = ( 756 kg + weight of teacher ) / 22

= > 37 kg x 22 = 756 kg + weight of teacher

= > 814 kg = 756 kg + weight of teacher

= > 814 kg - 756 kg = weight of teacher

= > 58 kg = weight of teacher

Hence the weight of the teacher is 58 kg.
