the average weight of a group of seven boys is 64 kg. One boy weighting 70 kg leaves the group. Find the new mean.

Given :

average weight of 7 boys =64 kg

X/7=64

X=448 kgs

When one boy of 70 kg leaves the sum of remaining weight of boys will be 448-70

=378 kgs

Now there are 6 boys

New mean =378/6=63 kgs
