let total number of female stars = y

Total weight of male stars =Xi

Total weight of female stars=Yi

Average weight of male stars=total weight of male stars/number of male stars

71.2 = Xi/x

Xi = 71.2x mark this as equation ist.

Average weight of female stars=total weight of female stars/ number of female stars

59.8 = Yi/y

Yi= 59.8y mark this as equation 2nd.

Average weight of all stars = (Xi +Yi)/ x+ y

60 = (71.2x +59.8y)/ x+ y

60*(x+y) = 71.2x + 59.8y

60y -59.8y = 71.2x - 60x

0.2y = 11.2x

x/y = 0.2/11.2

x/y = 1/56
