The average weight students in class A is 35 kg and class B is 63 kg . when both classes are murge ,then find the new average ,if the ratio between no. of students is 4:3 ?

let's the no of students in A and B be 4x and 3x. new average =(students in classA)(avg of A)+(students in class B)(avg of B)/total no of students =
4x(35)+3x(63)/4x+3x= 140x+189x/7x=329x/7x=47.

Answer 2

No. of students in class A = 4x & B = 3x

Total students = 7x

Total weight of class A = 35 x 4x = 140x kg

Total weight of class B = 63 x 3x = 189x kg

Total weight of both classes = 140x + 189x = 329x kg

Average = 329x/7x = 47
