The base and altitude of a parallelogram are 18cm and 14cm respectively. If the area is 3 times the perimeter, find the width of the parallelogram.?

let width be x

Area = base × altitude = 18×14 = 216

Area = 3*Perimeter

Therefore, 216 = 3*2(18+X)

216 = 6(18+X)

36 = 18+X

Therefore X = 18 cm

Width of parallelogram is 18 cm
