Given:

  • Base of the triangle = (3x - 4y)
  • Altitude of the triangle = (6x + 5y)

To find:

  • Its area ?

Solution:

• Let's consider ABC is a triangle.

Where,

  • Base = (3x - 4y)
  • Altitude = (6x + 5y)

« Now, Finding area of the triangle,

Area = 1/2 × base × Altitude

→ 1/2 × (3x - 4y)(6x + 5y)

→ 1/2 × 18x² + 15xy - 24xy - 20y²

→ 1/2(18x² - 9xy - 20y²)

9x² - 4.5xy - 10y²

∴ Hence, Area of the triangle is 9x² - 4.5xy - 10y²
