Given :

  • Base and Height of parallelogram are in the ratio 1:3.
  • Area of Parallelogram is 12cm².

To Find :

  • Base and Height of Parallelogram.

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:base\:be=1x}

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:height\:be=3x}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Area\:of\:Parallelogram=base\times{height}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{12=1x\times{3x}}

\longmapsto\tt{12=3{x}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{12}{3}={x}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{4={x}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{\sqrt{4}=x}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{x=2}

Value of x is 2..

Therefore :

\longmapsto\tt{Base\:of\:Parallelogram=1(2)}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{2cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Height\:of\:Parallelogram=3(2)}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{6cm}
