Let assume base =3x
Height =4x
Area of triangle =1/2 xbxh
=1/2*3x*4x=6x^2
Atq
Area =96
6x^2=96
X^2=96/6=16=>x=4
Base =3x4=12cm
Height =4x4=16cm

Question

The base and height of at triangle are in the ratio 3:4 and its area is 96 sq.m . find its base and height

Answer: base = 3×4 = 12cm and height = 4×4 = 16 cm

Solution

Let the base be 3x

Let the height be 4x

Area of triangle, A = ½ × base × altitude = 96 m²

96 = ½ × base × ¼ base

96 = 6x²

x² = 16 or x = 4

base = 3×4 = 12cm and

height = 4×4 = 16 cm

Hope it helps uh!
