Solution :

Let b , h are base and height of

the triangle respectively ,

b : h = 4 : 5

Let b = 4x ,

h = 5x ,

Area of the triangle = 729 cm²

=> ( bh )/2 = 729

=> ( 4x * 5x ) = 729

=> x² = ( 729 × 2 )/( 5 × 4 )

=> x² = 729/10

=> x = √(729/10)

=> x = 27/√10

Therefore ,

base ( b ) = 4x = 4 × (27/√10)

= 108/√10 cm

height ( h ) = 5x

= 5 × ( 27/√10 )

= 135/√10 cm
