12 is base and 16 is height

oli04: the procedure is to take the formula of 1/2(b*h)
WaniImad: explain
oli04: then take 3x and 4x as us b and h
oli04: this u will substitute in formula and equate to 96
oli04: this should suffice
oli04: think that the triangle is right angle triangle

let the ratio be =x
base=3x and
height =4x
area =1/2*base*height=96
1/2*3x*4x=96
6x^2=96
x^2=16
x=4
therefore base=3*3=12 and
height=4*4=16 cm
