hypontuse = 10cm

by Pythagoras thereom :-

h² = b² + p² (h = height, b = base and p = perpendicular)

>> 10² = 6² + p²

>> 100 = 36 + p²

>> 100 - 36 = p²

>> 64 = p²

>> p = √64

>> p = 8cm

therefore, height of the right angle triangle is 8cm

hence, area of the triangle = 1/2 × b × h

= 1/2 × 6 × 8

= 3 × 8

= 24cm²
