Given :

  • Base of Triangle = 5cm
  • Hypothenuse of Triangle = 13cm

 \\

To Find :

  • Area of Triangle

 \\

Solution :

❏ As we know that, Area of a Right Angled Triangle is given by ½ × Perpendicular × Base . Now, in this Question Hypothenuse and Base are given so we will find the Perpendicular of the Triangle then we will find the area of Triangle.

Using Pythagoras Theorem :

  • (Hypothenuse)² = (P)² + (B)²
  • (13)² = (Perpendicular)² + (5)²
  • 169 = (Perpendicular)² + 25
  • 169 - 25 = (Perpendicular)²
  • 144 = (Perpendicular)²
  • √144 = Perpendicular
  • 12cm = Perpendicular

Area of Right Angled Triangle :

  • Area = ½ × Perpendicular × Base
  • Area = ½ × 12 × 5
  • Area = 6 × 5
  • Area = 30cm²

Thus Area of Triangle is 30cm²

Given :

The base and Hypotenuse of right angle traingle are 5 cm and 10 cm long.

To find :

Area of Traingle.

Solution :

We know that

Area of Traingle = 1/2 × Base × Height

= 1/2 × 5 × 12

= 30 cm²

Therefore ,

Area of Traingle is 30 cm²
