The base and the corresponding altitude of a parallelogram are 10cm and 12 cm respectively. If the other altitude is 8 cm find the length of the other pair of parellel sides.

we know that area of parallelogram=base(b)×height(h)
here,b=10cm and h=12cm
area=10×12
=120cm²
now,it is the same parallelogram
but now h=8cm
b we have to find
area is same=120cm²
area=b×h
120=b×8
b=120/8
b=15cm
hence,corresponding base will be 15cm
