✬ Other parallel side = 49 cm ✬
Step-by-step explanation:
Given:
- Base and corresponding altitude of ||gm are 35 & 42 cm.
- Measure of other altitude of ||gm us 30 cm.
To Find:
- What is the length of other pair of Parallel sides ?
Solution: Let ABCD be a parallelogram. Where,
- AB = 35 cm (Base) then,
- DE = 42 cm (Corresponding altitude)
And , when
- BC = Base , then
- DF = 30 cm (Corresponding altitude)
As we know that:-
★ Area of ||gm = ( Base Height ) ★
Therefore, area of parallelogram when the base is AB is
Area = ( AB DE ) cm²
Area = ( 35 42 ) cm²
Area = 1470 cm²
So, The area of ||gm ABCD is 1470 cm².
Now, again area of ABCD when we take BC as base and DF as corresponding altitude.
➙ Area of ||gm = ( BC DF )
1470 = ( BC 30 )
1470/30 = BC
49 cm = BC
Hence, the other parallel side of parallelogram is 49 cm.
