The base angle of an isosceles trapezium are 56° each what is the measure of the other two angles
Answers
Given :
Base angle of an Isosceles triangle =56 °.
To find:
Measure of other two angles in the triangle.
Solution:
1) Let the angles of the triangle be angles A B C respectively.
2) Let the base angle be A i.e, Angle A=56°.
3) Angles B and C are unknown , According to the triangles properties the sum of the angles of the triangle are always 180°. (Irrespective of the type of the triangle)
Therefore Angles (A+B+C)= 180°.
4) Since the given triangle is isosceles the other two angles must be same by the property of isosceles triangles which states that the two angles of the triangle are the same except the base angle.
Therefore Angle B= Angle C.
5) A+B+C =180°.
On substituting the value of A and let Angle B=Angle C=x°,
Therefore , 56° + x° + x° = 180°.
On mathematical calculation, we get 2*x°=124°,
Therefore x=62°.
Answer:
The Measure of the other two angles are 62° and 62°.
