Given :

  • Base of an isosceles triangle is 4/3.
  • Perimeter = 62/15 cm.

Find :

  • The equal side of an isosceles triangle.

Formula :

  • Perimeter = 2a + b

Solution :

Perimeter = 2a + b

 \:  \:   \:  \:  \frac{62}{15}  = 2 a +  \frac{4}{3}

 =  >  \frac{62}{15}  -  \frac{3}{4}  = 2a

 =  >  \frac{203}{60}  = 2a

 =  > a = 1 \frac{83}{120}  \:  \: cm \:  \:  \:  \:  \: or  \:  \: \:  \frac{ 203}{120}  \:  \: cm.

Hence :

  • The equal side is 203/120.
