Answer:

\brown{\sf Height \; of\;  the\;  parallelogram  = 9\; cm \;and \;Base \;of\; the\; parallelogram  = 27 cm}

Step-by-step explanation:

\huge \text{Given}

\bigstar The base of a parallelogram is three times its height and the area = 243 cm².

\huge \text{To Find}

\bigstar The base and the height of the parallelogram.

\huge \text{Solution}

Let the Height of the parallelogram be 'x'

\red\bigstar Height = x \longrightarrow (1)

From the question,

Base = 3 times the height of the parallelogram.

\blue\bigstar Base = 3x \longrightarrow (2)

Area of parallelogram = Base × Height

Area of parallelogram = 3x × x

∵ it is given in the question that Area = 243 cm²

243 = 3x × x

243 = 3x²

x² = \dfrac{243}3

x² = 81

x = \sqrt{81}

∴ x = 9

Equating the value of x in (1) and (2)

In (1) \longrightarrow Height = x = 9 cm

            and

In (2) \longrightarrow Base = 3x = 3 × 9 = 27 cm
